Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 19, 2026
This policy explains what data Brightloop Labs ("we") collects through IQ Peaks and how we use it. We are the data controller for test data. Paddle.com acts as Merchant of Record and controls payment data under its own privacy policy.
What we collect
- Your answers to the test, the time you took, your chosen language and the score we calculate from them.
- Whether you purchased a Result, and the Paddle transaction ID.
- Your email address, which Paddle shares with us after a purchase so we can send you a link to your Result.
- Usage statistics: which pages you view, which buttons you click, how far you get in the test and how long each puzzle takes. These are recorded without cookies and without storing your IP address — visitors are counted with a one-way code derived from the IP address and browser type that changes every day, so it can't be used to recognise you over time.
- General context for those statistics: your country (from your IP address), device type (phone, tablet or computer) and the website or ad campaign that referred you.
We do not ask for your name to take the test. Your payment details are collected by Paddle at checkout and never stored by us.
How we use it
- To score your test and show your Result, including the AI interpretation (performance of a contract).
- To email you a link to your Result after purchase (performance of a contract). We do not send marketing emails.
- To understand how the test is used and improve it, using aggregated statistics (legitimate interest). We do not sell this data.
- If you accept marketing cookies: to measure and improve our ads on Meta (Facebook, Instagram) (consent).
Processors
- Fornex — server hosting and database storage.
- Paddle — payments, invoicing and tax.
- Anthropic — generating the AI interpretation in your Result. It receives only your scores and timing, never your email or payment data.
- Resend — delivery of the email with your Result link.
- Meta Platforms — ad measurement through the Meta Pixel, only if you accept marketing cookies.
Cookies
Essential: we store your language choice in a cookie and your test progress in your browser so you can resume; Paddle may set cookies needed to process payment. These are always on.
Marketing (only with your consent): the Meta Pixel sets cookies and tells Meta which pages you view and whether you start or complete a purchase, so we can measure and improve our ads. Meta processes this data under its own privacy policy. You can accept or reject this in the cookie banner and change your choice at any time via “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page.
Our own usage statistics work without cookies.
Retention
We keep test results for up to 24 months so you can return to them, then delete them. Unfinished tests are deleted after 2 days. Aggregated usage statistics are kept for up to 13 months.
Your rights
Under GDPR and similar laws you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, and you can complain to your local data protection authority. Email support@iqpeaks.com with your result id.
